Every year, the Austin School of Film and SXSW Film, have a 24-hour film competition on the first weekend of SXSW Film. Filmmakers, ages 14-19, get into groups of four and have only 24 hours to script shoot, and edit a five-minute short according to set guidelines. Austin School of Film teachers and mentors, editing equipment, meals, and drinks will be provided. Each team must bring their own DV camera. Event is FREE!
Sign up now for 2011! Only a limited number of students will be allowed, and it's on a first come first serve basis.
All you have to do is send in your contact information (every student
must send in their own information) to Monica at monica@austinfilmschool.org. Make sure you include your name, e-mail, and cell/home phone number(s). As the film festival approaches, you will receive further information about rules and recommended registration dates.
