YOUTH SCREENWRITING 1

2010 SPRING SEMESTER
Saturdays, September 25 - November 13, 11am-1pm

This course is an introduction to visual writing and dramatic narrative and is designed for pre-teens and teens ages 9 and over. We will look at how stories are told on film. Students will write one short film script during the course of the eight weeks, we will discuss the elements of a good story telling, screenplay format, structure, and plot. Students will be divided into groups based on age and skill level.

 
Prerequisites: None necessary.

Spring & Fall Tuition: $325

**If this class fails to meet minimum enrollment, it may be canceled.  In case of cancellation, your registration will automatically be transferred to the next scheduled class.  If you would like to specify a different class or a refund (refer to our refund policy below), please contact us directly at classes@austinfilmschool.org.

2010 Fall Semester:

REFUND POLICY:
*No Refunds for SUMMER CAMP.
*Cancellations received at least 10 calendar days before the start date of the SPRING/FALL class shall receive 100% refund.
*Cancellations received at least 7 calendar days before the start date of the class shall receive 50% refund.
*Cancellations received fewer than 7 days before the class shall not be credited or refunded.
*No refunds for Apple Certification Exams.
