This course teaches the basics of screenplay structure, format, and script analysis, as well as characterization and plot. Students should come to class ready to write as they will complete a feature length screenplay in eight weeks
In this course, we will analyze the typical Hollywood 3-Act Structure in
order to gain a greater understanding of how writers must have full
commands of their characters, the characters' foibles or weaknesses, the
conflicts that will confront the characters and how they will resolve
them. Screenwriting 1 will provide you with all of the
necessary tools to lay the foundation for any story you wish to tell.
Who Should Attend: People who want to learn everything there is to know about writing a good script, and those working towards their ASoF Digital Video Certificate.
Prerequisites: None necessary.
ASoF Certificate: ASoF Digital Video Certificate elective class.

REFUND POLICY: *Cancellations received at least 10 calendar days before the start date of the class shall receive 100% refund.
