| This program is broken up into four semesters over two years. The
first year is dedicated to the prerequisites that will enable youth to
properly use cameras (from 16mm to digital) and related equipment,
design sets, scout locations, and above all else, create a unique
story. The second year empowers students to fulfill their filmmaking
passions through the production process.
Working together to shoot their own feature film, the students run the entire production, from the lighting to the sound mixing. This dynamic filmmaking environment inspires youth to be creative, while learning industry standards in pre-production, production, and post-production.
Applicants are required to submit a reel of completed short films and/or animations, and should have already taken preliminary filmmaking and/or production courses at either ASoF or at another youth media program.

**If this class fails to meet minimum enrollment, it may be
canceled. In case of cancellation, your
registration will automatically be transferred to the next scheduled class. If you would like to specify a different

REFUND POLICY: *Cancellations received at least 10 calendar days before the start date of the class shall receive 100% refund.
*Cancellations received at least 7 calendar days before the start date of the class shall receive 50% refund.
*Cancellations received fewer than 7 days before the class shall not be credited or refunded.
*No refunds for Apple Certification Exams.
