ASoF's Avant-Garde & Experimental Filmmaking course is a comprehensive introduction to experimental filmmaking. The students will explore the history and evolution of experimental film and are encouraged to navigate the images in their minds to create their own individual works. This course is dedicated to the appreciation of film as an art form and a medium of expression. Students will learn how to use and shoot on Super 8mm cameras, process their films and edit their footage to produce their individual Avant-Garde short film.Their films will be featured in a salon and screening at the completion of the course.

ASoF Certificate: ASoF Digital Video Certificate elective class.

Who Should Attend:  Students with filmmaking experience or an interest in art and experimental methods and those working towards their ASoF Digital Video Certificate. Ages 16 and older.

Prerequisites: Final Cut Pro 101 (or experience) and/or Video Production Intensive recommended.

REFUND POLICY:

*Cancellations received at least 10 calendar days before the start date of the class shall receive 100% refund.
*Cancellations received at least 7 calendar days before the start date of the class shall receive 50% refund.
*Cancellations received fewer than 7 days before the class shall not be credited or refunded.
*No refunds for Apple Certification Exams.
